Crimes of Everyday
2025
Drawing on handmade paper, hand stitched
2.5 x 2.5 inch
This book emerges from a month-long engagement with the trial and the language surrounding it. I examine how bureaucratic “officialese” separates moral responsibility from empathy, reducing individuals to paperwork. Through the figure of Adolf Eichmann, I explore how obedience, routine procedures, and career-driven systems make violence appear ordinary. I question how everyday administration silences human voices, revealing how systems function precisely because they are impersonal and unquestioned.
